Rackspace hit by Ransomware attack, Investigation going one it data were stolen.

December 2 2022 rackspace detected issue which is affecting the hosted exchange services and company shut sown the impacted services. Now it is confirmed that the failure was because of a ransomware attack.
"We appreciate your patience as we continue to work through the security issues that have affected our Hosted Exchange environment. As you know, on Friday, December 2nd, 2022, we became aware of suspicious activity and immediately took proactive measures to isolate the Hosted Exchange environment to contain the incident. We have since determined this suspicious activity was the result of a ransomware incident." Company said.

Internal security team and a cyber security company investigating the issue and during the initial investigation it is clear that the attack is limited to the hosted exchange services only and all other assets is working without any issue.Company provide a temporary solution to its clients to handle the current situation and checking that the data was stolen or not based on the future finding company will notify customers as appropriate.
