Threat actor selling nearly 500 million whatsapp user’s number on a hacking forum . According to the claim all data is is up to date and having all active whatsapp numbers. According to cybernews threat actor is selling the US data for $7000, UK data for $2500 and Germany data for $2000.
Still it is not clear that how threat actor collect this information but it is sure that this data will attract scammers .
Threat actor share the sample Daya with cyber news and cyber news validated that the sample data belong to active whatsapp users.
Meta is still not come upfront to comment on this , but cybernews suspect that the data could be result of mass information harvest which is against the whatsapp’s term of service.
